PERSONAL MUSEUM
The page shows only a small part of the objects I collected, dating back to between 1500 and the end of the 20th century, while some objects are from the present day. Furthermore, the collection includes vintage books and reprints that refer to the greatest ghost hunters in history, coming from the United Kingdom (which I talk about at the bottom of the "ABOUT US" page). My collection mainly refers to the occult and spiritualism, as it was understood in ancient times.

- "Mysterious photo". Probably family photos.
The adults standing on either side of the boy wear Mephistopheles-like demon costumes, both costumes also feature the voracious face of Lucifer on the lower stomach. Lucifer represented in Renaissance frescoes. While the boy sitting opposite wears a dark close-fitting suit, partly covered with thick dark fur. Both masquerading as demons? It's a photo developed and printed in Milan, in the early 1900s, at that time Halloween wasn't celebrated in Italy, so why those costumes? (Original photo-press of the time).
- Magic lantern, from the early 1900s, German.
It was used for entertainment and in illusionism for "spirit shows".
A simple device in iron and copper, operated by a kerosene lamp or candle, to project images through lenses onto walls, glass and even smoke. An example is in the script of the film "The Illusionist", where a very famous conjurer, in the Victorian age, skilfully used more than one, projecting the illusion of ghosts onto the stage of the theater (the film is very exaggerated, almost impossible the representation of their use). In fact, this type of rudimentary projector lanterns were used by magicians to make the illusion of ghosts appear, by means of an accomplice in a spectral costume, projected onto a glass or onto smoke.
Below some vintage prints, of how they were used in "spirit shows":
